    Bullets: Proof that she Lives

    • yes, I am still alive....I have been severely delinquent in blogging, but life is getting so full...in a good way.
    • I just moved into my first apartment in Virginia. I love it so much! I will miss seeing Micah all the time, talking with Jen in the mornings and evenings, and having my brother around to bug me. But I'm sure they'll still be around to do all those things soon enough.
    • My closet, unfortunately still looks like it vomited into my room. Not enough hangers, unfolded clothes, and trying to find what to wear over the last few days has been a challenge...this weekend, my project is to get my place in order...from top to bottom because next week is gonna be BUSY!
    • If you happen to be looking for new music, I have a few suggestions: Tyrone Wells - I cannot sing this man's praises enough. For real, get his stuff, you will NOT be disappointed. Rob Thomas - out of sheer guilty pleasure- this man is like.....seduction in my ears, and I'm not even lyin'. I love his music. And...hmmm....Ladyhawke for the fun techno-upbeat vibe. Yeah, good times. I love me some good tunes.
    • God is expanding my friendships - both existing ones and developing new ones and I love that! Such sweetness when God does those things.
    • Did I mention how cool God was to furnish my entire apartment for no more than 40 bucks? I went from virtully nothing to having everything a girl could desire and even a few more "Special" items...my cup surely runs over....
    • Has anyone taken the time to watch the NBC (now canceled) show called "Kings"? I have enjoyed getting someone into it. Hulu has all the episodes of the only season until Sept. 20. I highly recommend checking it out. It mirrors (rather loosely) the life of King Saul and King David set in a 21st Century pseudo American world. Nifty concept.
    • For my new place, I found a pink tool bag with pink and maroon handles. So fun for a girl to have girl tools!
    • I did purchase an iphone after all and I am completely and wholly in love with it! The touch screen was super easy to adjust to, and I loved it.
    • The weather here has been exceptionally gorgeous this summer. Very few days above 90, and I can only think of a handful of occasions where it was more than 95 at all. It makes me happy to live here. Especially since my Texas peeps are getting scorched with the most terrible heat this year.
    • Mom is going through chemo still. Her treatments started about a month ago, and she's now losing her hair and generally feeling kinda weak. If you think of her, prayer on Fridays and Saturdays would be great, b/c those are the not so much fun days.
    • Dad is, however, stellar at taking care of her. He drives her around, takes her wherever her little heart desires and just generally has been a gem of a husband. He's such a good example of what a husband should be. It makes me wonder if I'll ever find someone as good as that.
    • Still working third shift and keeping vampire-ish hours for four nights a week....which means, I'll be wrapping this up soon so I can go to bed.
    • There are a lot of books in my home....there were a full four boxes full...and there are more in Texas. My friend Laura told me that the theme phrase of my life here should be "Somewhere in a box in Texas"....
    • The only thing I am missing in my new places are kitchen items....which are...somewhere in a box in Texas. ha ha!
    • God's timing is pretty much impeccable and I learned as much this month in a lot of ways. But the greatest lesson was the explanation I got in a personal situation that I would have given anything to have a year ago, but learned that by not getting it til now, it doesn't matter. So it just doesn't matter anymore. And that's a very VERY good thing.
    • The Woodwick Candle outlet store will be getting a visit from me this weekend.
    • I'm kinda guessing the Xanga Book Group has taken a hiatus for July...because I've slacked in getting any kind of recommendation out...lol! But I do think GP said he wanted to suggest the August book. Is that still on? If so, let's get on that suggestion so we can get rolling! Peace, Love & Used Books needs to get back on track!
    •  Have you had Panera's Forest Mushroom soup??? OH OH OH So good. But it does feel like it should be a fall soup and less a summer fare....my friend dubbed it "Savory" and stated it was almost like eating a bowl of gravy. HA! Whatever, it was tasty!
    • Desiring a little bit of a an Irish Creme Chai Latte.....maybe I should get up a little early and get on that before practice tonight....
    • My small group is coming over tonight to see and pray in my new apartment. That blesses me so much.
    • Speaking of....I need to get some thank you cards working....yet another project for the weekend.
    • There's an outdoor production of Midsummer's Night Dream at a local university and I really REALLY want to go. Maybe I can fit that in....The weather is so nice, it'd be a waste to NOT go.
    • My life is one big long naptime....at least for four days of the week.
    • Gearing up for another week (next week) of prepping for singing, so I'm battening down the hatches and kickin' that stupid poo-head of Satan out of my world this weekend. He needs to take a hike, seriously.
    • Oh and Harry Potter...folks...in less than a week's TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! So EXCITED!!!!!! - Yes, I am a nerd of the grandest kind. Get over it. I have.
    • Soon, I will be re-reading Captivating by John and Stasi Elderidge. It's time. I definitely need some of those reminders again.
    • This is long, so it's time to end it.
    • Night night...or....good Day...whichever....

As always, Miss Manders, although I don't write much I enjoy reading what you write and catching up on "you!"  You, and of course, your Mom, remain in my prayers.  Love and miss you girl.

Maybe the next time you're in Texas we'll get to see each other ... it's just that our whole world is so turned upside down right now, and things are a bit nutty.

    Do love and miss you!

How did you manage to furnish your apartment with just $40?

P.S. I totally miss talking to you!

@JoshuaKS - I will, soon, I promise. I gotta get some things in order first. :D

@ehrinn_l - I did interview at another position and they offered me a job, but never got back to me on the salary or anything, so I just wasn't down with the company b/c of the way things were handled. I just didn't pursue it. It wasn't right. Praying about options, but for now things aren't bad. :D

    @His4evrNow - Thanks for praying! :D
